COLOR GUARD

Color Guard is a performing arts team that adds visual storytelling to marching band shows using flags, sabres, mock rifles and other equipment. Combining dance, interpretive movement, gymnastics, and equipment manipulation members perform during the fall season along with the Cardinal Alliance Marching Band at football games, field show tournaments and parades. They transition to indoor "Winter Guard" competitions in the Spring.

WINTER GUARD

After marching season concludes, the Winter Guard team performs throughout San Diego and Southern CA in Guard only competitions.  Winter Guard is conducted indoors, usually in a gym or indoor arena.  Choreographed routines are performed to recorded music.  The Winter Guard teams compete in the WGI, WGASC, and WCWG circuts.
